Joyce Spence – 1950-2017

Joyce Spence
1950-2017
It is
with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of
Joyce Spence, 66, of Murray Corner, NB,
on Saturday, February 4, 2017. Joyce was born to
the late Bessie and Percy Ferrish of Summerside PEI on September 4,
1950.
Joyce
was a caring woman who excelled in home care for other individuals in
the area. She will always be remembered for her love to
laugh. She took such joy from quilting with friends, cooking for her
family, traveling to new and familiar places, and anything
to do with her grandchildren. Mom always made you
feel welcome in her home. She was loved by all and will be
missed by everyone who knew her.
She
leaves behind her loving husband of 44 years, Lipton Spence; her
children and their spouses, Carolyn (Venu) Spence,
Richard (Sandra), and Janice (Noel) Sherwood; her
grandchildren, Asha, Isabella, Jessica, Tristan and Katelyn; her
siblings Eric (Diane) Ferrish, Marjorie (Rob) Geiss, Gordon
(Christine) Ferrish, Darlene Ross, and Berla Ferrish; her
mother in-law Vera (late Horace) Spence, her sister in-law
Shirley Spence, her brother in-law Blair (Sally) Spence, and many
other nieces, nephews, family
and friends.
Besides
her parents, Joyce was predeceased by her daughter Tracy Lynn in 1990,
and her brother Eldie Ferrish.
Arrangements are under the care and guidance
of Jones Funeral Home, 3 West Main
Street, Port Elgin (506-538-2241). A time
of remembrance will be held at a later
date.
In lieu
of flowers, donations in memory of Joyce can be made to the Friends of
the Moncton Hospital, Extra Mural Services or a charity of
the donor’s choice.
Sharing
of memories and condolences may be sent to the family by visiting
Joyce’s online memorial at www.jonesfuneralhome.ca or through the Jones Funeral Home Facebook
