SAINT-LOUIS-DE-KENT, NB – Marie-Louise
Hébert of Saint-Louis, passed away peacefully at the
Dr.-Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital on Friday, February
3rd, 2017. Born in Fontaine, she was the
daughter of the late George and Célina (Fontaine)
Hébert.
At 87 years old, Marie-Louise held the Guinness World Record
(since January 2015) as being the oldest person in the world living
with dwarfism.
Being the last surviving member of her immediate family,
Marie-Louise will be sadly missed by her caregiver, Anne-Marie
Robichaud; as well as by many nieces and nephews. Besides her
parents, she is predeceased by three sisters, Sara Daigle (late
Edmond), Délima Comeau (late Honoré) and
Isabelle Hébert (late Auguste); as well as by five
brothers, Gustave (late Thérèse), George (late
Marie-Louise), William (late Elizabeth), Arthur (late Suzanne) and
Basil (late Florida).
Visitation for Marie-Louise will be held at Thompson Memorial
Home, Saint-Louis-de-Kent on Monday from 7-9 pm, Tuesday from 2-4 and
7-9 pm and Wednesday from noon until departure for the
funeral. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday,
February 8th, 2017 at 2:00 pm, St. Louis des
Français Roman Catholic Church,
Saint-Louis-de-Kent.
Marie-Louise’s family would like to send their
sincere gratitude to the staff at the Dr.-Georges-L.-Dumont University
Hospital, La Villa Maria, the Stella-Maris-de-Kent Hospital, as well
as the NB Extra-Mural Program Sainte Anne-de-Kent Unit for the
excellent care given to Marie-Louise over the years.
