It is with sad hearts that we
announce the passing of Dora Etta Brown, 85, of Lincoln, NB, beloved
wife of James “Jim” E. Brown. Dora passed away, surrounded
by her loving family, at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital on
Saturday, January 28, 2017.
Born at Havelock, NB on
October 27, 1931 she was a daughter of the late Rev. George Wasson and
Laura (McMann) Wasson.
Dora was a School Teacher by
profession and taught in Chipman and Lincoln. She was a faithful
member of the Wesley United Church in Lincoln and for many years was a
dedicated Sunday School Teacher. She was also a member of the L.O.B.A.
Dora was well known for having the nicest and most beautiful flower
gardens anywhere and was also a gifted Tole Painter and Artist.
Dora leaves behind her loving
and devoted husband of 65 years, James “Jim” E. Brown and
three cherished daughters, Elaine L. Campbell (Paul) of Lincoln,
Sharon D. Chase (Haldon) of Cornhill, and Kathleen D. Brown of Geary.
She also leaves behind her four much loved grandsons, Bryan Campbell
(Cara) of Fredericton, Corey Chase (Ashley) of Cornhill, Ian Campbell
(Amanda) of Riverview and Luke Chase of Cornhill; two treasured
great-grandchildren, Charles Campbell of Riverview and Karsyn Chase of
Cornhill. Dora will be greatly missed by her four siblings, Norma
Flewelling of The Range, Roberta Melanson of Saint John, Dorothy
Wasson of Fredericton and Larry Wasson of Minto as well as a number of
nieces, nephews and cousins. Aside from her parents, Dora was
predeceased by siblings Perry, Ivan, Ada and
Altha.
The family will receive
condolences at Bishop’s Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Road,
Fredericton on Monday, January 30, 2017 from
7-9 PM. A service celebrating the life of
Dora Brown will be held Tuesday, January 31 at 2:00 PM from The Wesley
United Church, Lincoln, NB. Rev. Brian MacDonald will officiate.
Interment in the Lower Lincoln Cemetery at a later
date.
The family are so grateful
for Dr. Stephen Pond, Dr. Ewa Pniak, nurses and staff of 4NW for all
the love and care shown to Dora and her family. We will never forget
your kindness. Thank you from the bottom of our
hearts!

Fund or to a favorite charity of your
