Louise Marjorie Bernard – 2017

Louise Bernard (nee Hartlen) of Lower Debert, born March 16, 1943 in Liverpool, Nova Scotia, died January 19, 2017 at 8:30 am peacefully and surrounded by loved ones at Colchester East Hants Hospital in Truro, Nova Scotia after a lengthy illness. She was the daughter of the late Percy and Lil Hartlen.
Louise began her nursing career in Ontario before moving back to Nova Scotia where she worked as an LPN (Colchester Regional) until her retirement.
She is survived by her dear friend, Kaye Rushton; her children, Ericka, Paula, and Elvis; her grandchildren, Troy, Adam, Carter, Megan, and Abigail; her sister, Roxy; four nieces and one nephew.
Predeceased by her sister, Doris McCully, and brothers, Bill and Cleve.
The family would like to warmly thank the palliative care doctors and nurses at CEHHC for their dedication and care.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Lindsay Annapolis Valley Funeral Home & Chapels, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Dr (902-679-2822). By request, there will be no service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
