Obituary
On January 20, 2017 passed away peacefully in Edmonton with her family at her side at the age of 80 years old.
Mei will be dearly missed by her family: three sons, Sherman (Janet), Edmund (Ann), Gordon (Jo); six grandchildren, Justin (Carmen), Ashley, Courtney, Breanna, Brandon, Austin; great-grandchild Hayley; brother Walter Lok; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Mei was predeceased by her husband Kan (2005); her parents, Chow Nin Shui and Kwan Lan Nui; and her siblings, Anne Fong, Helen Joe, Chok Hou Chow and Henry Chow.
Our family extends its appreciation for the wonderful care that Jeannette Agoff and Aslee Essa gave her during mealtime. Special thanks goes to the staff at the Edmonton Chinatown Care Centre provided during her residency. The doctors that provided exceptional care include: Dr. Peter Chui, Dr. Alex Yan, Dr. Jamie Irvine, Dr. Gordon Poznikoff and Dr. Bing Li. Our family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to everyone who has offered their assistance, sympathy and prayers during this difficult time.
