Lloyd Arthur Trites – 1945-2017

Lloyd Arthur Trites
1945-2017
Lloyd Arthur Trites of Riverview and formerly of Hopewell
Cape passed away on January 20th, 2017 at the Moncton Hospital with
his family by his side.
Lloyd was born in Frosty Hollow, NB on March 27th, 1945 the
son of the late Ernest and Elsie (Murray) Trites.
Lloyd worked as a truck driver for over 35 years having
traveled all over the Maritimes and many trips to the US. He was a
faithful member of the Hillsborough United Church. He was a member of
the Hillsborough Volunteer Fire Department when he was younger, he was
always ready to help out in his community. If anyone needed anything
all you had to do was call Lloyd. He enjoyed hockey, especially when
his boys played, woodworking, going to Blue Grass festivals, playing a
good game of cards and also going to the antique car shows. He will be
remembered for his great sense of humor and his hospitality. He lost
his beloved wife, Annabelle, last February and that has been extremely
hard on him. He felt blessed to have the support of his boys and their
families to help get him through that difficult time. He was extremely
happy to see his new great granddaughter’s arrival just a month and a
half ago. We can only think of how happy he is as he is getting
reacquainted with the love of his life for eternity and we are sure he
is telling her how fast Violet is growing and how beautiful their
little Calla is. To his boys he would say ” We leave but our love
does not, we shall love you in heaven as we have on this earth. Take
care of each other and know we are not far away we will live on in
your hearts forever.”
He will be deeply missed by sons, Gregory Trites (Michelle)
of Riverview, Billy Trites of Moncton and Tim Trites (Nicole) of
Riverview; his precious grandchildren, Marrisa, Marley, Abigail,
Kayla, Mason, Leeah, Skylar and Teaguen; precious
great-granddaughters, Violet and Calla; sisters, June Vessey (David)
of Summerside, PEI, Kathleen Leaman (Reggie) of Moncton, Jean Pond
(Earl) of Saint John; brother, Douglas Trites (Carole) of Riverview;
sister-in-law, Phyllis Trites of Riverview; several nieces and
nephews. He will also be missed by all his in-laws, The Reid Family
and by many good friends.
Besides his parents he was predeceased by beloved wife,
Annabelle; brothers, Roy, Earl and Gerald.
Honoring Lloyd’s own wishes there will be no visitation. A
Celebration of his life will be held at the Albert County Funeral Home
on Wednesday, January 25th, 2017 at 2:00pm with Rev. Carol Mullin
officiating. Interment will be in the River View Cemetery, Edgett’s
Landing at a later date.
For those who wish donations to the Friends of The Moncton
Hospital- Cancer Clinic, Hillsborough Volunteer Fire Department or to
the charity of the donor’s choice would be greatly
appreciated.
Arrangements are in the care of the Albert County Funeral
Home, 4130 Route 114, Hopewell Cape, NB, E4H-3K2,
