RICHIBUCTO, NB – Laurie Doucet 61, of Richibucto
passed away suddenly at the Stella Maris Hospital, Ste. Anne de Kent
on Wednesday, January 18, 2017. Born in Claire-Fontaine, he
was the son of the late Ben Doucet and Henriette (Doucet)
Doucet. Laurie had been employed at Laurentide Paint and
Allain Aquaculture. He attended the Pentecostal Church in
Shediac. Laurie enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping in his
spare time.
Laurie will be sadly missed by his wife, Pauline (Curwin)
Doucet of Richibucto; his mother, Henriette Doucet of St. Charles; one
daughter, Sylvia Zaal (Chris) of Calgary; one son, Gabriel (Chantal)
of Aldouane and two very much loved grandchildren, Alissa and
Jacob.
He is also survived by two sisters, Rose-Marie Guimond
(Romeo) of St. Charles, Della Doucet (Norm Gagne) of Cap Pele; two
brothers, Alvin (Francine) of St. Charles, Eugene (Therese) of
Richibucto and many nieces and nephews.
Besides his father, he was predeceased by two brothers,
Laurie and Joseph.
As per Laurie’s wishes there will be no visitation
at the funeral home and no funeral service. Arrangements are
in care of Thompson’s Funeral Home, Richibucto
(523-4252)
