Obituary
On Tuesday, January 10, 2017, Marguerite Lafleur (nee Sabourin) passed away at the age of 73 years with family by her side. It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. After a long battle with COPD, Marg is finally at peace in heaven.
She will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Donna Soetaert, and Nicole Wickenberg (Brian); grandchildren, Damian, Braeden, Daylen, Briony, Alecia, Austin, and Tyler; eight siblings; six in-laws; as well as numerous relatives and friends.
She was predeceased by her loving husband of 48 years, Wes Lafleur; son-in-law, Bryan Soetaert; siblings, Angela Casavant, Blanche Boissonnault, and John Sabourin; and her parents, Ovila and Alma (nee Simon) Sabourin.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Saturday, January 21, 2017 at Connelly-McKinley St. Albert Funeral Home, 9 Muir Drive, St. Albert.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Marguerite’s name to The Lung Association, Alberta & NWT, P.O. Box 4500, Station South, Edmonton, Alberta, T6E 6K2 or online at https://www.ab.lung.ca/donate.
The family wishes to send a special thank you to the staff at the Sturgeon Community Hospital, especially Dr. Suen, Dr. Leon, and nurse Chantelle; as well as Argie and Neil at the Rosedale St. Albert. Your loving care of our mother will always be remembered.
