Kenneth went to Vancouver Technical Secondary School and was also in the Canadian Army Reserves from 1947 – 1949. He was married to Nettie Zelisko on November 21, 1949. Kenneth worked for Alex Gair and Sons for 44 years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, woodworking, gardening, making wine and square dancing.
