COMEAU, Alphonse – Age 95, of Maces Bay, NB, formerly of
Meteghan River, passed away Wednesday, January 11, 2017, in Ridgewood
Veterans Wing, Saint John, NB. Born in Saulnierville, he was a son of
the late Elie and Marguerite (Saulnier) Comeau. A veteran of World War
II, Alphonse worked as a heavy equipment operator in Blacks Harbour,
NB, for over 30 years. He is survived by his wife, Anne Marie Comeau,
Maces Bay, NB; daughter, Eileen (Beverly) Mawhinney, Maces Bay, NB;
brothers, Thomas, Meteghan Centre, Octave, Meteghan River, Donald and
Gilbert, both of Bangor; sister, Anne Gaudet, Meteghan; grandchildren,
Margaret, Michael, Evan, Halley; great-grandchildren, Colby, Rachael.
He was predeceased by brother, Benoit.

1st Branch 69 President, Larry Lynch for
pointing us to the care offered at Ridgewood Veterans Wing, Barb Sweet
for all you do for the veterans at Ridgewood and we, as a family will
never forget the wonderful staff who took care of our loved one these
past few months. ALL of you showed patience, caring
and love that was amazing to see. We will never forget
you.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Meteghan
Funeral Home. A funeral service will take place at a later date.
