It is with deep sorrow that the family of Gayle Butler announces her passing on Friday, January 6, 2017 in Cranbrook, BC at 76 years of age.
Gayle was born on June 3, 1940 in Prince George, BC. Gayle had a unique artistic talent and she tried many different art forms, settling on wood carving. She created numerous beautiful dragons and masks. Gayle was also a very talented cook at home, spending many hours trying out new recipes that were always successful. She enjoyed volunteer work and being in contact with her many friends. Gayle had a very unique sense of humour that she inherited from her Irish grandmother.
Gayle is survived by her husband Doug Butler, her son Derek Butler, her grandchildren Brendan Butler, Liam Butler and Jordyn Dowling and her son-in-law Steve Dowling. She was predeceased by her daughter Theresa Butler, parents Harold and Eileen Webb and her sister Terri Webb.
Gayle requested cremation and no service.
Arrangements entrusted to McPherson Funeral Service.
