William “Bill” George Turner
1963-2017
William (Bill) George Turner ,53, of Moncton and formerly of
Albert Mines passed away on January 10th, 2017 at the Moncton Hospital
with his family and close friends by his side.
Bill was born in Moncton on April 14th, 1963 the son of the
late Ronald A. Turner Sr. and Elizabeth (Steeves) Turner. He
worked as a Heavy Equipment Operator with T.P. Downey & Sons
and Birchill Construction. He enjoyed bowling,
playing darts in the garage, playing washers and going fishing. He had
a great sense of humour and loved to tease. He had a special
way with children and all kids loved him. Bill loved being around his
family and friends, he was a special “Bro” and
“Uncle”. He loved animals especially his little
dog which he walked four times a day. Bill will be
remembered for his quirky smile and for his generosity. He
will live on in the hearts of his loved ones forever.
He will be deeply missed by his brother, Ronald Turner Jr.
(Kim) of Albert Mines; sister, Susan Brewster of Dieppe;
brother-in-law, Billy Stewart of Hopewell Hill; several aunts, uncles,
cousins, nieces and nephews. He will also be missed by all
his extended family in Moncton and his special friend , Sandy.
Besides his parents he was predeceased by his sister,
Marion Stewart and nephew, Benjamin.
There will be no visitation. A Celebration of his
Life will be held on Saturday, January 14th, 2017 at the Albert County
Funeral Home at 2:00pm with Pastor Paul Steeves officiating.
The family will be meeting for further sharing of memories and for
refreshments at the funeral home following the service.
Interment will be in the Albert Mines Baptist Cemetery, Albert Mines,
NB at a later date.
For those who wish donations to the NB Heart &
Stroke Foundation or the Friends of the Moncton Hospital would be
appreciated by the family.
The family would like to say a very special thank you to
all the nurses and doctors at the Moncton Hospital in the ICU and
Palliative Care Units for all their kindness and support during this
difficult time. It was greatly appreciated and will never be
forgotten.
