Sharon Irene Needle
1946-2016
At Bobby’s Hospice, Saint John NB on December 24, 2016, Sharon Irene
(Johnston) Needle, wife of Francis Needle of St. George NB. Born in
Blacks Harbour NB on November 4, 1946, she was a daughter of the late
George and Vivian (Hatt) Johnston. A loving wife, mother, grandmother,
great-grandmother and sister, in addition to her husband Francis,
Sharon is survived by three daughters: Samantha (Braden) Cook of St.
George NB, Judy McLeese (Gerald Barry) of St. George NB and Shirley
Beaudry of Pennfield NB; grandchildren: Cortney McLeese, Jeremy
McLeese, Steve Barry, Kayla Beaudry and Owen Mullin; 12
great-grandchildren; brothers: Gerald (Eileen) Johnston of Oshawa ON
and Clarence Johnston of Pennfield NB; one sister: Florence Crosby of
Nova Scotia; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her parents,
Sharon was predeceased by 11 brothers and one sister in infancy.
Arrangements in the care of the St. George Funeral Home (755-3533) 26
Portage Street, St. George NB. Visitation will be held at the funeral
home on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The service will take place
from the funeral home chapel on Thursday at 3:00 pm with Rev. Gordon
Cooke officiating. In Sharon’s memory, donations to a charity of the
donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
