Passed away peacefully at Extendicare Lakefield on Saturday December 3, 2016. Mary Frankish of Lakefield was in her 90th year. Mary was raised in Montreal and trained as a Registered Nurse at Ottawa Civic Hospital, class of 1951. She enjoyed a long and successful career as a R.N. in Peterborough. Loving wife of the late Ronald Frankish (2015). Lovingly remembered by her children Mary Jane Stark (Brian) of Keene, Nancy Frankish of Keene, Dr. Charles Frankish (Bev) of Ottawa, Arthur Frankish of Douro, Linda Frankish of North Potomac, Maryland and Richard Smith (Barbara) of Coldwater. Loving grandma of Curtis, Brandon and Kaitlyn Stark and Dr. Ian Frankish (Rebecca) and Alison Ja Eue (Matthew). Predeceased by sisters Beth Smith (Sid) and their son Jamie, Olga Woodside and brothers Dean and Art Woodside. Friends and relatives may call at THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOMES, LAKEFIELD CHAPEL, 66 Queen Street, Lakefield on Friday December 9, 2016 from 7-9 PM. A funeral service will be held in the chapel on Saturday December 10, 2016 at 11:00 AM. A reception will follow in the Heritage Room of the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to Community Care, Peterborough or the Warsaw United Church Pastoral Charge as expressions of sympathy.
