Evelyn Cameron 21 décembre 2016

Hazel Evelyn Cameron (nee Deamel)
On December 21st, 2016 after a wonderful life of 91 years, Mom left us to re-unite with Dad(Harvey).
Mom was born December 10, 1925 in Somerset, Mb and attended school in the Archibald District before moving to Winnipeg with her sister Margaret to work. They attended a dance one night and met two brothers of which they would both eventually marry. Mom and Dad were married in a tiny church near Moms family farm and would spend 60 years together until Dads passing in 2007. A stay-at-home Mom until all of us kids were in school, she re-entered the workforce working for Olympic Sports wear, Holiday Haven Lodge and Eaton’s Cafeteria. They retired in 1984 and moved to Sanford and then back to Winnipeg in 2002.
Mom and Dad enjoyed camping and travelling… Hawaii, Alaska, Disneyland, and eventually spending winters in Yuma Az and Vernon BC. They shared the love of music, especially old time fiddle music and with that…. DANCING.
Mom was pre-deceased by husband Harvey, her parents Edward and Hazel Deamel, sister Doris Shields, brother Andy Deamel and grand-daughter Erin Boychuk.
Her memory lives on with her children Ron, Kathy(Ron), Marilyn(Larry), Harvelyn (Ron) and Tim(Jean), 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, her sisters Margaret Cameron(Golden BC), Marlene(Sherridon) Kentner of Dauphin and numerous family and friends she’s had the pleasure to know.
Mom enjoyed life to the fullest and especially her grand and great grandchildren. She was a role model for all us kids and instilled her values in us that will carry on through the generations.
Funeral service will be held 2:00pm, Friday December 30 at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, 4000 Portage Ave (west), Winnipeg with interment to immediately follow. Viewing will take place at 1:30 pm.
