It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Ivan Neil Wheeler on Thursday, December 15, 2016 at the Carmelite Pallative Care Unit, Grand Falls-Windsor. He was 68 years of age. Born the eighth of nine children on November 17, 1948; he spent his entire life in the former town of Windsor. He met and fell in love with Ethel Chislett of Islington and together they have enjoyed 39 years of wedded bliss.
Ivan is predeceased by his parents, Fred & Maisie Wheeler, brothers Roy & Fred Jr. and sisters-in-law Marjorie Wheeler & Patricia Wheeler. Also his mother-in-law Edith Chislett and brother-in-law Sam Chislett.
He leaves to mourn his passing with fond and loving memories brothers; Ern (Betty), Harry, David (Betty) and sisters; Shirley (Roy) Osmond, Jean (Len) Joy, Helen Wheeler and Aunt Lily Snow. Sisters-in-law Asenath (Gerald) Legge, Clara (Gerald) Chislett, Irene (Freeman) Legge, Marion Chislett, brother-in-law Malcolm Chislett. Also nephews and neices whom he enjoyed and loved dearly.
Visitation will be on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9. A public funeral service will be on Saturday at 2 pm from Hoskins Funeral Home, Grand Falls-Windsor. Donations can be made to a charity of one’s choice.
