Alfred Leonard Gervais

Alfred Leonard Gervais (Beaver) in hospital in Pembroke on December 6 2016 in his 82nd year. Born in LaPasse Ontario on January 23 1935. He served in the Airforce in the 1950s and worked in Ottawa as an elevator mechanic until retirement. He was well known for his sense of humour and outgoing personality. Beloved husband of Marion (née Hughes) and father of Brenda Gervais of Peterborough, Debbie Gervais (Al Clayton) of North Gower and Diana Gervais of Ottawa. Grandfather of Benjamin Clayton. Survived by his siblings Orval Gervais (Joan), Inez Winter (Ted), Kathleen Gohr (Ray Recoski and the late Bob Gohr), Ruth Dinn(GerryLaroque) and Patrick Gervais (Élise). Predeceased by parents Moise and Hattie Mae Gervais and siblings Eileen Everett (the late Jack), Roy Gervais (the late Agnes), Viola Lefebvre (the late Sarto), Arthur Gervais, Harry Gervais, Cecil Gervais (Anne), Claire (Ivan) and Douglas Gervais. Friends are invited to share their memories of Leonard with his family during visitation at the Murphy Funeral Home, 296 Isabella Street, Pembroke, Ontario, on Sunday 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated in on Monday, December 12 at 11:00 a.m.. Interment in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Cemetery in Lapasse. In memory of Leonard, Donations to Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated.
