Gregory Greg Morhart

Gregory Greg Morhart

Greg Morhart, age 63, passed away peacefully at St. Joseph’s Hospice, Thunder Bay, on Dec. 2, 2016 with his family at his side.
Greg was born in Grayson SK and raised in Killaly before moving to Regina at the age of 7. Most of his work years were in the retail industry with Shell Canada. He had a passion for working outdoors in his yard and for renovating his home. In 2009, he and Susan moved to Shuniah Township just east of Thunder Bay where he spent every possible moment improving their forest property. He loved watching the wildlife, feeding the rabbits, squirrels and birds and especially loved his dogs, Merlin and Dickens. Greg made many good friends during his “Life in the Forest” to add to those he held dear from Saskatchewan.
Greg is survived by his wife of 38 years, Susan (nee Wright), daughter and son-in-law Heather Morhart and Rob Wilson (Toronto, ON), and daughter Kendra Morhart (Rosser, MB); siblings Alvina Breckenridge, Val Morhart (Margaret), Ray Morhart, Gina Winkler (Elmar) and several nieces and nephews as well as extended families.
He was predeceased by his parents, Martin and Eva Morhart.
There will be a celebration of Greg’s life in Regina, SK at a later date. Should friends so desire, donations to the Humane Society or to an animal rescue organization would be greatly appreciated.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Everest Funeral Chapel, 299 Waverley, Thunder Bay ON.
