La famille a le regret de vous annoncer le décès de notre matriarche survenu Au Château à Sturgeon Falls, le vendredi 27 janvier 2023 à l’âge de 104 ans. Fille de feu Jules Philippe et de feu Rosalba Ménard et épouse de feu Albert Bigras et feu Alpha Gagnon. Mère bien-aimée de Rachel Binette (feu Marcel), Gilberte Desormiers (feu Aurèle), feu Adèle Malette (Richard), Albertine Conyers, Louise Dalcourt (Germain) et Georges Bigras (Yollande Levac). Belle-mère de la famille Gagnon: Evelynne Anglehart (Joe), Maurice, Madeleine Maranda (Richard). Son souvenir restera gravé dans la mémoire de ses petits-enfants Carole, Liette, Robert, Claude, Michel, Guy, Angelo, Pierre, Janique et Raymond ainsi que 21 arrières-petits-enfants, 10 arrières-arrières-petits enfants ainsi que 7 petits-enfants et 4 arrières-petits-enfants de la famille Gagnon. Prédécédée par ses frères et soeurs Edouard, Émile, Aimé, Auxilia, Cécile, Wilfrid, Emma, Aurel, Lucien et Roland.
Yvonne était une femme dévouée, travaillante, acceuillante et aimable. Elle aimait les fêtes en famille, les voyages, tricoter, jouer aux cartes, faire des casse-têtes et surtout cuisiner. Elle était le lien de sa famille un peu comme la colle. Nous garderons tous de bons souvenirs de son amour inconditionnel et ses grosses caresses.
Nous aimerions remercier l’équipe médicale pour les excellents soins apportés à notre chère mère lors de son séjour Au Château.
La famille accueillera parents et amis au Salon Funéraire Théoret Bourgeois, Sturgeon Falls, le samedi 11 février, 2023 dès 12h30. Un service funéraire suivra dans la chapelle à 13h30.

The family regretfully announces the death of our matriarch at Au Château in Sturgeon Falls, Friday January 27th, 2023, at the age of 104 years. Daughter of the late Jules Philippe and of the late Rosalba Ménard. Wife of the late Albert Bigras and of the late Alpha Gagnon. Beloved mother of Rachel Binette (late Marcel), Gilberte Desormiers (late Aurèle), late Adèle Malette (Richard), Albertine Conyers, Louise Dalcourt (Germain) and Georges Bigras (Yollande Levac). Step mother of the Gagnon family: Evelynne Anglehart (Joe), Maurice, Madeleine Maranda (Richard). Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Carole, Liette, Robert, Claude, Michel, Guy, Angelo, Pierre, Janique and Raymond as well as 21 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great-grandchildren as well as 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren from the Gagnon family. Predeceased by her siblings Edouard, Émile, Aimé, Auxilia, Cécile, Wilfrid, Emma, Aurel, Lucien and Roland.
Yvonne was a dedicated, hard-working, welcoming and kind woman. She loved family celebrations, travelling, knitting, playing cards, doing puzzles, and especially cooking. She was the bond of her family a bit like glue. We will all keep good memories of her unconditional love and her big hugs.
We would like to thank the medical team for the excellent care provided to our dear mother during her stay at Au Château.
The family will receive friends at the Théoret Bourgeois Funeral Home, Sturgeon Falls, on Saturday February 11th, 2023, after 12:30pm. A funeral service will follow in the chapel at 1:30pm.
