Passed peacefully away at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital on March 07, 2023, Yvonne Frances Oates (Turner) in the presence of her loving family at the age of 80.
Predeceased by her mother; Gladys Sheehan, father; Augustus Turner; stepfather Thomas Sheehan; sisters Joan Mercer; Agnes Power; Helen Turner; brothers William Turner, Frank, and Thomas Sheehan.
Leaving behind with loving memories is her husband; Edmund (Munn), her sister, Gertrude Dalton (Edward); children, Helen (Ross); Ed (Carla), Frank (Darlene) and Jeff (Tracey). Her adoring grandchildren, Kimberly; Mathew (Katie); Gill (Morgan); Keely (Marcus) Gavin and Nathan. Her only special great grandchild, Shay, and many families and friends.
A special thank you to 4th floor west nursing staff at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital. Also, thanks to the staff at the City of St. John’s Seniors’ Social Program.
Yvonne was simply the best! Her determination, love for a game of cards, hockey and spending time with her loving family was the most important thing in her life.
At Yvonne’s request cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or service at her request.
