Yvonne Carter
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Yvonne Carter on August 8, 2023 after a brief battle with leukaemia. She passed peacefully in her sleep. She is predeceased by her husband Peter Frisch and her daughter Valerie Bertrand. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Yvonne was born March 30, 1942 in Selkirk where she lived most of her life. She was well known for her cooking and baking. She loved to garden and always had a successful crop of fresh veggies to cook with. She loved visiting and talking with friends and family.
We would like to thank the staff at the Selkirk General Hospital for their caring compassion on her short stay there. Thank you to Gilbart’s Funeral Home for their compassion in this difficult time. We would also like to thank Home Care staff for their daily check ins and care they have provided over the years. Thank you to all who helped to make her final hours peaceful.
Thank you for sharing our life and we will cherish your memory.
She requested not to have a service, so we will respect her wishes.
