Obituary for
Yvan Cyr
The family announces with great sorrow his passing at the Timmins and District Hospital on Thursday, August 24, 2023 at the age of 65 Years. He leaves behind his dear wife Monique Chenard, his son Keith Cyr (Sylvie) and his granddaughter Shanelle. Also left to mourn are his brothers Jean-Luc (Diane), Ghislain (Debbie), Paul (Nicole), Michel (Jocelyne), Normand, Alain, Gaston and his sisters Dolette (late Oscar) and Linda. Yvan will be missed by his brother-in-law Edward Chenard and sister-in-law Chantal Boudreau-Chenard (late Jean-Marc). He will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews and by his great friends from Lakeshore Gold Mine. He is predeceased by his son Jeffrey Cyr, his parents Edouard and Yvette Cyr, his brothers Jacques (Judy), Conrad and Jean. Yvan enjoyed the outdoors; fishing, snowmobiling and doing firewood were some of his favourite pastimes. He worked over 47 years in the mining industry and travelled the world working in mines from all over. As per his wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date in Gogama, ON. Remembrance donations to the Notre Dame du St-Rosaire Church (Gogama) would be greatly appreciated. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to MIRON-WILSON FUNERAL HOME, Cremation and Reception Centre, 150 Balsam St. S., Timmins.
