Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Winfield Mills Jr. at his home in Irishtown on March 20, 2023. Born in Moncton, he was the son of the late Winfield Sr. and Lillian Mills.
Winfield worked at Crane Supply and Wynberg Landscaping. He was an avid sports fan, especially when it came to the Leafs and Blue Jays.
He leaves behind his wife, Sheila Mills (nee Stewart); daughter, Carrie; son, Steven both of Moncton; two grandchildren, Mara and Glenn; sisters, Carol Bell of Sudbury, ON and Linda Bos (Ralph) of Second North River, NB; as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, cousins, In-Laws and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two brother-in-laws, Bill Bell and Wayne MacLeod.
The family would like to say a special thank you to the Extra Mural for their kindness, it did not go unnoticed. And to all the Doctors who cared for him in his final months.
Visitation at Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (506-858-1995) on Friday from 1:00 to 3:00 and 6:00 to 9:00 pm. A Service to Celebrate and Honour Winfield’s life will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2023 at 1:30 pm from Fergusons Funeral Home Chapel. Reception will follow in the Funeral Home Reception Centre. Interment will take place later in the spring at Birch Hill Cemetery.
