It is with a broken heart that the family announces the peaceful passing of Stan Forbes.
Stan passed away peacefully at home with his sister Elaine Macintyre, son Bryan Forbes and his partner Jimmy Hillier. His last week was filled with all his family and grandchildren by his side.
Son of the late Raymond and Grace Forbes. Treasured husband of the late Cecile Forbes (Oct/22), and leaves behind his son Jim (Tracey Forbes), his son Bryan Forbes (Jim Hillier).
Loving Grandfather to Josslyn Friars (Adam), Justin Forbes, Jessica Forbes (Alex Marquardt), Danielle Forbes (Travis Mccaw), Jamie Forbes, and Jacklynne Boykin (Jerome).
Loving Great Grandpa to Jack, Ryan and Luke Marquardt, Elijah and Elliott Boykin and Declan Friars.
Brother of Elaine Macintyre (Rob), Cathy Guilbeault (Len), the late Joe Forbes (Margret), Isabelle Shanahan (Tim), Chuck Forbes (Ruth Ann) and Mary Jane Borrell (Dan).
Stan will be greatly missed by many nieces and nephews that he loved all so dearly.
Stan was a lifelong member of the K of C in Tilbury Ontario. He spent his career driving Truck across the continent which truly was his passion. Retired from trucking and ran his own company for 10 years before he fully retired to his chair.
Relatives and friends will be received at the Jeffrey W. Glendinning Funeral Home, 36 Front St., Port Rowan from 1-4pm on Sunday, July 23rd, 2023 with words of remembrance to follow at 4:00pm. Reception to follow with food and drinks at Country Fork located at 1048 Bay Street, Port Rowan.
Internment will be done at a later date.
