Obituary for
William “Bill” Whebby
Whebby, William “Bill” John – Age 64, passed away peacefully at home in the early morning of April 8, 2023. Bill was born on January 21, 1959, and was raised in Dartmouth, NS where he attended P.A. High School. He then went on to raise his sons and followed in the footsteps of generations before him, working in the family business. He was a smart businessman and very skilled in carpentry and construction.
Over the years, Bill enjoyed being out in nature, hunting or fishing. His favourite being moose hunting or salmon fishing with friends and/or one of his Labrador Retrievers. He always enjoyed his trips to Newfoundland and spending time at his favourite camp on Rocky Lake. Anyone that knew Bill knew that he was strong-willed and never afraid to speak his mind. That was part of what made him so resilient.
Bill was predeceased by his wife, Sandra Lowe Whebby and his father, Jack Whebby.
He is survived by his mother, Flora Whebby; sons, Liam, John (Emily) and Charlie; grandchildren, Hailee, Ava, Freyah and Ben as well as many cousins and extended family members.
A special thank you to Bill’s sister-in-law, Marlene Lowe; great nephew, Michael and friend, Rene for their loyalty and dedication to Bill.
Bill’s wife, Sandy, was truly the love of his life and their time together brought him so much joy. He will be laid to rest next to Sandy and their beloved dogs at a celebration of his life with family and friends at his home, 90 Farnham Road, Bible Hill, NS at a later date to be announced.
