Peacefully at Burloak Long Term Care, Burlington on Friday, March 3, 2023 Bill passed away in his 94th year. Beloved husband of Eileen (nee Edwards) for 69 years. Loved father of Rhonda Robertson and Doug Robertson (Josephine). Dear grandfather of Jaclyn Rutledge (Mike), Greg Robertson, Jim Robertson (Bekkee), Tom Robertson (Nicole), Bruce Robertson, and his 4 great-grandchildren. He will also be missed by nieces, nephews, and extended family in Scotland.
Bill was born in Scotland and worked in the welding supply industry his entire career and was known in the Hamilton community as the owner of Bay City Welding Supplies Ltd. for over 20 years. Dad taught us all the value of hard work and commitment. He enjoyed their cottage in the Kawarthas, travelling, and spending time with Mom and his family. Dad loved fishing, golfing and his sweets! often sharing his wrapped sweets with others upon visits.
We wish to extend our heartfelt thanks to all staff members at Burloak Long Term Care for their kind, compassionate care during Dad’s time there.
Cremation has taken place. Friends are invited to join the family on Sunday, March 26, 2023 from 1 pm – 3 pm for visitation at KITCHING, STEEPE & LUDWIG FUNERAL HOME, 146 Mill St. N., Waterdown.
Donations to Alzheimer Society of Canada would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
