Wilfred’s Obituary
Wilfred James Thibeau
November 7, 1944-April 14, 2023
Age 78 of Yarmouth, passed away on April 14, 2023 at home. Born at home in North Range Digby County, he was a son of the late Lawrence and Mary (Muise) Thibeau.
Wilfred enjoyed sharing stories out in his shed, and was always relied upon for good advice. He spent the majority of his life on the ocean as a fisherman, he was a hard worker and a great provider for his family. One of his best hobbies was helping others, going for long drives, often with his brother Richard or his oldest grandson Matthew. All his grand kids meant the world to him. We are all wiser for knowing him.
Wilfred is survived by his sons, Darren (Sarah) Thibeau, Hebron and Dean (Jody Purdy) Thibeau, Yarmouth; siblings, Connie (David) Curry, Dayton; Evelyn Gannon, Yarmouth; Joan Thibault, Greenwood; John (Marg) Thibeau, Yarmouth; Joey Thibeau, Barrington; Roger Thibeau, Yarmouth; grandchildren, Matthew, Hannah, Presley, Ben, Bradly and MacKenzie; great-grandson, Owen James Thibeau. He was predeceased by his wife, Anne (McCormack) Thibeau, siblings, Margaret Ann, Dianna and Richard.
Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Huskilson’s Funeral Home, Yarmouth. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, April 23, 2023 at 2 p.m. in Huskilson’s Memorial Chapel.
