It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Wayne McPeak on July 15th, 2023 in his 74th year with the love of his family, nursing and support staff of Caressant Care Cobden by his side. Wayne’s passing comes after a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease.
Beloved husband of 50 years to Helen McPeak (nee Early). Cherished father of Danielle and Brenda (Jamie). Dear grandfather of Connor, Marissa, Mark and Myles, as well as multiple fur grandchildren. Survived by siblings John (Lena), Karen Watters (Jim), Danny (Maggie), and Cathy (David). Wayne will be greatly missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. He is predeceased by his parents Daniel and Joyce McPeak, as well as his siblings Margaret (Neal), Suzie and David.
Wayne had a distinguished career with Correctional Service Canada where he worked as a Correctional Officer at Millhaven Institution beginning in 1971.
Final arrangements entrusted to Zohr Family Funeral Home, Renfrew. As per Wayne’s wishes, cremation has taken place. If so desired, memorial donations may be made to Parkinson Canada. Tributes, condolences and donations may be made online at www.zohrfuneralhome.com
