Wanda Doris Comeau
– 94, of Truro passed away on Monday, January 2, 2023 in
Colchester East Hants Health Centre. Born in Debert, she was a
daughter of the late Calvin and Lillian (Matthews)
Goodwin.
In her earlier years,
Wanda worked at Save Easy, and then worked at the Travelers Motel for
over 20 years and finally the Tidal Bore Inn. After retiring, she
cared for her mother for many years. Wanda loved to bake, especially
for her son and enjoyed knitting. She travelled many places in the
Maritimes as well as the United States and loved to shop along the
way.
Wanda is survived by
her husband, Paul Comeau; son, Wayne (Judy) Deneau of Truro;
grandchildren, Brent (Ashlee) Deneau of St. Thomas, Ontario, Shellee
(Chris) Rushton of Truro, Leslie (Shawn) of Windsor, Ontario; several
great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by
her first husband, Lawrence “Larry” Deneau; daughter,
Debbie; sister, Madeline; brothers, Bryce, Terry and
Percy.
Arrangements have been
entrusted to Mattatall-Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro
where the family will receive friends from 2-4 pm on Thursday, January
5, 2023 and funeral service will be 2 pm on Friday, January 6, 2023,
Pastor Ken Fillmore officiating. If so desired, donations may be made
to Crohn’s and Colitis Canada or to The People’s
