JARVIS, Wallace Neil – Passed away peacefully on Sunday February 26, 2023 at the Norfolk Hospital nursing Home. Wally Jarvis, long time Simcoe resident and retired owner of W. N. Jarvis Plumbing and Heating in his 99th year. Beloved husband of the late Helen (2016). Loving father of Scott Jarvis (Colette), Jane Thompson (Bill) and Neil Jarvis (Susan). Cherished grandpa to his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Wally will be missed by many other relatives and friends. Wally was born in Stratford, Ontario. His family moved to Simcoe when he was about the age of 6. During WWII, he stepped forward and proudly served in the Royal Canadian Navy patrolling for submarines on the Atlantic and Pacific coasts as an ASDIC (Sonar) operator. Following the war, Wally attended trade school in Toronto and returned to Simcoe to work as a plumber and heating contractor for over 50 years. At Wally’s request cremation has taken place. There will be a private family graveside service at Oakwood Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to the Ferris Funeral Home, 214 Norfolk St. S., Simcoe (519-426-1314).
