Vivien Harding, 75, of Stratford passed away at Stratford General Hospital with family by her side Wednesday April 19, 2023. Dear Sister to Melvin John Harding of Stratford and Charlotte Bales of Atlanta. Loving mother to Adrienne (George) Dear Granny to Jared, Olivia, and Griffin. Loving Aunt to Frankie, Melissa, and Geoff. Dear Horse Mom to Beau and Mikey. Predeceased by her parents Frances Joan Harding (nee Schorah) of Liverpool England and Fredrick Melvin Harding of the Isle of Man. Survived by Dear Stepfather Gerry Landriault of Goderich.
Much loved cousin to Dorothy, Marie, Lillian, Joan, Kath and John Sanders of England. Also remembered by dear friends Hanna (Karl), Nik (Ashley), Karry, Audrey and June. Vivien came to Canada from the Isle of Man with her family in 1957 where she eventually settled in Stratford, Ontario. For years she was part of the Stratford Horticultural Society and took pride in the growing and cultivation of roses. Vivien loved horses and was an accomplished rider. Much of Vivien’s life was devoted to horses, her one true love. She spent time with the Wellington-Waterloo Hunt Club and took part in showing her Arabian Horses in traditional costume and sharing her love of them with all she knew.
Visitation to be held at the Christian Reformed Church of Stratford, 190 Athlone Crescent, Stratford on Wednesday, May 3, from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Avondale Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to Whispering Hearts Horse Rescue or Aspens Ojibwe Horse Sanctuary through the W.G.
