McFarlane, Viva Eleanor (nee Pack)
Passed away suddenly at the age of 82. Reunited with her husband Robert McFarlane and dearly missed mother to Margarette (Grant), Roberta (Kelly), and Teresa (Wayne). Loving Nan to Derek (Terri), Chris, Erica (Rob), Cody (Jess), Spencer (Derek), Carley (Cody), Jordan, Hailey (Eric) and “GG” to Liam, Megan, Avery, Blake, Kennedy, Jayden, Brooke, Mya, the late Lily, Brynlee, Aidan and Kayson. Predeceased by her parents Grace and Stanley and her siblings Ruth (the late Tom) and William. Viva will also be remembered by many nieces and nephews.
Viva was very active in many senior clubs as well as an involved member of the Catholic Women’s League and St. Augustine’s Parish.
The family would like to thank the Paramedics, the St. Joseph’s Hospital staff and Viva’s dear friends Jim Barr and Cheryl Hopkins for the care and compassion they showed. They would also like to thank everyone who has supported and helped Viva and her family over the past few months.
A visitation will take place Monday, May 8, 2023 at Bay Gardens Funeral Home (1010 Botanical Drive, Burlington) from 2-4pm and 6-8pm. The funeral service will take place on Tuesday, May 9th, 2023 at St. Augustine’s Parish (58 Sydenham St, Dundas) beginning at 11am. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Ronald McDonald house would be appreciated by the family.
