JERIC, Victorija (Lebar)
Victorija passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 9, 2023, at Lanark Heights Long Term Care Home, Kitchener, Ontario. Victorija was born on December 22, 1927, in Slovenija to late Ludvik and Rozalija Lebar.
After the war Victorija went to culinary school and became a member of the hospital staff in Murska Sobota, Slovenija.
She arrived in Canada on a very cold day on January 31, 1966. Married 33 years to Stefan Jeric (deceased).
She was a member of Holy Family Church and CWL in New Hamburg.
She was a loving mother to Irma (deceased) (Harry Broghossian – deceased), Theresa Jeric (Warren Nelitz), Mary Jeric (Doug Shaw), Rosie (Larry Fritz), Kathy (David Allensen) and Stefan Jeric Jr. She will be missed by her grandchildren, Lisa Faul (Lorne), Tania Moser (Keil), Nina Witmer (Craig), Michelle Fritz (Brad), Andrew Lee (Serena), Shuma Vostrcil (Jean Francois), Yarra Vostrcil-Coulter (Andrea), Sarah Fontaine (Eric), and Maia Allen (Nick). She will be missed by her many great grandchildren and by her sister Marija Titan in Slovenia and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her brothers Viktor (Marija), Vinko (Trezika), Vijem (Franscka), Izedor and brother-in-law Janez Titan.
The family would like to thank all the doctors, nurses and staff at Lanark Village retirement Home and Lanark Heights Long Term Care.
Relatives and friends are invited to the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 291 Huron Street, New Hamburg on Sunday, July 16, 2023, from 2 – 4 p.m. The funeral mass will take place on Monday, July 17, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Family Roman Catholic Parish. Father Robert Love to officiate. Interment in Riverside Cemetery where Victorija will be reunited with her beloved husband. All are welcome to join the family in the funeral home basement after for a time of fellowship and refreshments.
As expressions of sympathy, donations would be accepted to Heart and Stroke Foundation or Holy Family Parish and can be done through the funeral home website.
