Obituary For Vernon Roy Corbett
Vernon Roy Corbett, resident of Elmworth, AB, formerly of Hope, BC, passed away on Friday, May 26, 2023, in his home, at the age of 76 years.
Vernon was born October 30, 1946, in Mission, BC. He spent 50 years in the logging industry as a truck driver.
He enjoyed reminiscing about the old days with his trucking buddies or anyone who’d listen. Some of Vernon’s favorite past times were hunting, fishing, spending time with his grandkids, reading, and watching his horses in the back forty.
He will be sadly missed by his wife Rhonda (nee Skiba) Corbett; children: Cyndi Corbett (Brad Wittur), Miranda (Jason) Isley, and Jenilee (Chris) Corbett-Willock; grandchildren: Cole, Emma, Riley, Jeryd, Justin, Jamilee, and Jenicalyn; brother Douglas (Joy) Corbett; nieces and nephews: Chad, Josh, Debbie, and Shaylee.
Vernon was predeceased by his parents Wilford and Dorothy Corbett, and brother Bryan Corbett.
Memorial donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
