Velma Ellen Sellen (nee Johnston)
This July 18, 2023, Velma Ellen Sellen took her final breath, surrounded by her beloved daughters, Kim and Nancy. The sun rose and the world welcomed Velma on February 22, 1932, a day the world became a little brighter. Velma lived a full and warm life filled with joy.
Velma was born in Winnipeg where she attended school. She worked at Swifto then Marshall Wells where she met and worked with John in 1950. John and Velma were married in 1954. She played a vital role in their family business, Canvasback Equipment. She enjoyed singing, weekly dances, knitting and reading. Velma was a selfless caretaker for her aunt Lucy Pearl Bell throughout her life.
Velma was predeceased by her husband John in 2022. She is survived by daughters Kim, Nancy (Jim), and grandson Anthony.
Cremation has taken place and no formal service will held.
