FRASER (BLOIS) , Trisha Lynn, age 52 of Elmsdale, formerly of Shubenacadie, passed away July 16, 2023 in the VG Site, QEII Health Sciences Centre, Halifax, due to complications with her liver transplant surgery. Born in Truro, she was a daughter of Vernon Blois and Delores (Isenor) Macnab and a loving mother to her children, Jordan and Tristan.
Trisha had an uncrushable spirit and chose happiness every day. Even when her illness challenged her, she kept her head high and did not waste any time feeling badly for herself and the hand she was dealt. She maintained her optimism and hope, right through to the last moment before her transplant surgery “I’m just going away on a trip, I’ll see you guys in a couple days”.
Trisha’s deepest desire was to be a good mom and by all accounts she was an amazing mom. She had an extraordinary bond with her family and beautiful friendships. She will be remembered for her smile, her “mother hen” tendencies, her inherent goodness, and her courage. She loved to cruise, shop, craft, and most especially spend time with family and friends.
The world would be a better place if more people approached life the way Trisha did. To honour her, be kind and choose happy.
Besides her children and parents, she will be sadly missed by sisters, Shawna (Benjie) Young and Jodi Blois (Chris Nickerson); ex-husband, Frankie and his parents, Frank and Grace; nephews, Saege and Levi; niece, Brooke; stepfather, Sandy Macnab; stepmother, Nancy Blois; stepbrothers, Jamie (Vicki) Lamond, Rob (Sonja) Lamond, Stewart Macnab and Alex Macnab; stepsister, Amy (Troy) Wilson; many special aunts, uncles and cousins, and her beloved Zoey.
When she left us, we know she was welcomed into the arms of so many loved ones who went before her.
Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Ettinger Funeral Homes, Elmsdale and Shubenacadie.
A Celebration of Life will be held 10:30AM Friday July 21, 2023 at Shubenacadie United Church, 2869 Highway 2, Shubenacadie. A reception will follow downstairs in the church hall.
Special thanks to Dr. Peltekian and the rest of the liver team as well as her favourite nurses on 8.2.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Liver Foundation.
