Obituary
Peacefully, while surrounded by his family, Tony passed away at Margaret’s Place Hospice, Dundas in his 70th year. Beloved husband to Janet for 48 years. Loving father to Michael, Stephen (Jacqueline) and Patricia. Proud Grampy to Anthony and Leonardo. Survived by his mother Zemira; brother Bruno and sisters Lucy (Dennis) Orgera and Marisa (Don) Cardwell. Predeceased by his father Domenic in 2013. Lovingly remembered by many other relatives and friends.
Tony was a proud owner of The Dutch Mill Country Market for 14 years. His family and work were his passion which showed through to all that knew him. The animals he cared for at the Dutch Mill where an extension of the family. Tony was an active member in the Flamborough community, which led him to receive the Paul Harris Fellow from the Rotary Club of Flamborough AM. He was always a true supporter of local businesses and growers. Simply put, he was a genuine friend to everyone he knew.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 6 – 9 p.m. and Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at KITCHING, STEEPE & LUDWIG FUNERAL HOME, 146 Mill St. N., Waterdown where a Funeral Service will take place on Friday, January 27, 2023 at 11 a.m. Reception to follow in the Funeral Home Family Centre. Entombment after the reception at Glen Oaks Cemetery, Oakville.
The family would like to thank the staff of Bayshore Home Health for the care provided at home and the staff at Margaret’s Place for their compassionate care in Tony’s final days.
