MICHALAK: Theresa Victoria “Terri” (nee Blackwell) – passed away suddenly on Tuesday, August 15, 2023. Terri Michalak of Drumbo in her 78th year.
Beloved wife of Don Michalak whom she married September 20, 1969. Loving mother of Kristen Michalak and Kevin Michalak & wife Michelle all of Drumbo. Sadly missed by her grandchildren Victoria (Jeremy) Smith, Braedon Geerts, Miranda Michalak, Logan Michalak and Riley Geerts. Survived by her sister Julia Ollinger of Burlington, sister-in-law Wendy Blackwell of Hamilton and brother-in-law Robert Michalak & wife Joanne of Kitchener.
Predeceased by her parents Jack & Rose (Ornborne) Blackwell , brother Floyd Blackwell, brother-in-law Doug Ollinger and in-law Ed & Dora Michalak.
Terri was a Registered Practical Nurse graduating in 1966 and working at Trafalgar Hospital in Oakville before starting a family in 1973. She moved to Drumbo to a small farm with her family in 1984 where she continued to work as a nurse at the Willet Hospital in Paris. Terri and Don traveled extensively with friends on many trips visiting Europe, Africa, South America, Australia and Antarctica with frequent stops in Las Vegas.
Family and friends are welcome to a Celebration of Terri’s life from 1 – 4 PM on Saturday, August 26, 2023 at the Drumbo Agricultural Hall.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Drumbo & District Heritage Society or the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family. Personal condolences can be posted at www. gffh.ca
