The death occurred peacefully at the Maplewood Manor,
Alberton, on Friday, June 30, 2023, of Theresa Mary McNeill, beloved
wife of the late Ralph B. McNeill, of Alberton, age 86 years. Born at
Brockton, PEI, on August 4, 1936, she was the daughter of the late
Thomas J. and Mary Ann (nee Blanchard) Gallant.
Loving mother to: Elaine McNeill, Allan (Marlene) McNeill,
Marie (late Gordon) Beaman, Helen (David) Hardy, Ellen (Ken) Minard,
Betty (Gale) Gallant, Leonard (Karen) McNeill, Joe (Paula) McNeill,
Garth (Michele) McNeill, Wesley McNeill, and Kevin (Debbie) McNeill.
Cherished grandmother to: Derek (Jessica), Curtis (Deneille), Candace
(Jeff), Shannon, Ryan (Vanessa), Sean (Stephanie), Ron (Courtney),
Michael, Tyson (Jenna-Vie), and Kalie (Cody). She is also survived by
18 great-grandchildren. Dear sister to Olive Gallant, Marcella
(Hedley) Costain, Robina (late Lloyd) Trainor, Angie Reid, Priscilla
(late Major) Costain, and Nelson (Joanne) Gallant. She is
also survived by brother and sisters-in-law, Claire (Lorna) McNeill,
Bernice (late Jackie) Gallant, and Mabel (late Jacques) Dumas. She
will be sadly missed by her nieces, nephews, friends and
acquaintances.
She was predeceased by a great-granddaughter, Sydney Hardy,
and by siblings, Jackie Gallant, and Albert (late Velma) Gallant, and
by brothers and sisters-in-law, Doris (late Wilbur) Gray, Molly (late
Everett) Arsenault, Roy (late Elizabeth) McNeill, and Eileen
Luttrell.
Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home and Chapel, Alberton.
Visiting hours Sunday 6:00 to 9:00 p,m. Funeral Monday morning from
the Sacred Heart Church, Alberton, for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m.,
Rev. Brendon Gallant, celebrant. Interment in the church
cemetery.
