Thelma Catherine Christine Barnhardt, age 87, of Owen Sound, formerly of Stratford, passed away suddenly on Sunday, January 15, 2023 at Grey Bruce Health Services Hospital, Owen Sound. Born in North Easthope township, daughter of the late Allan and Amelia (Manto) Zinn. Loving mother of Gary Barnhardt of Harriston and Pam Black of Owen Sound.
Proud and loving grandmother of Tiffany Gardhouse (Corey), Tania Black (Greg), Sara Wheaton (Colin), Ashley Black, Haley Barnhardt, Riley Barnhardt, Quinn Barnhardt and Great Grandmother to 9 children.
Survived by her siblings Marlene Scheerer, Alan Zinn (George) and Audrey Freeman (Ron) and her many nieces and nephews.
Thelma was predeceased by her husband Fred Barnhardt, her son Brian Barnhardt and her partner Aubrey Alexander.
Thelma’s family will celebrate her life with a private family funeral service and interment in St. Peter’s Lutheran Church Cemetery, Gadshill. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to a charity of you choice through the W. G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron St. Stratford. 519-271-7411
