It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend Terry Chris Brown, late of Birch Hills, SK on June 26th, 2023, at the age of 63. Terry spent his last days doing what he loved most, tending to his cattle, playing his guitar, spending time with good friends up at the lake, and enjoying his days with the love of his life, Bonnie.
Terry was born on August 30th, 1959, at the Holy Family Hospital in Prince Albert, SK to his loving parents Alex and Donna Brown. Terry grew up in Prince Albert and Saskatoon with his younger brother Todd and sister Tracey before ending up at the family farm in Birch Hills. Terry worked hard on the farm with his dad and brother Todd, and enjoyed hunting and fixing up old cars, with a special love for his roadrunner and the “Little-Red Express”.
Life truly changed for Terry in 1982, when he met and married his wonderful wife, Bonnie. Bonnie and Terry celebrated their wedding with friends and family at the farm. Later, they welcomed their two children Amanda and Wade. Terry had a long and successful career at the Prince Albert Penitentiary while also farming. Terry retired from the Penitentiary in 2013 and made the most of every day by traveling, picking up the guitar again, and spending time at the lake around the campfire and on the boat listening to music. More recently, Terry and Bonnie enjoyed raising cattle on their farm. Terry was a wise, old soul and never shied away from a good political debate.
Terry will forever be remembered and missed by his wife Bonnie, children Amanda Brown and Wade Brown, sister Tracey Brown, uncles Richard Soyland and Warne Soyland, stepfather Maurice Sevigny, nieces and nephews Brittany Kugler, Dylan (Jenna) Kugler, Karsten (Shanna) Markowski, Samantha Wagar and great nieces and nephews Lily, Grace, and Knox; his father-in-law Bill Reich, sister-in-law Mona (John) Dunn & family, brother-in-law Shawn (Lorelei) Reich & family, and a host of long-time friends.
He was predeceased by his parents Alex and Donna Brown, brother Todd Brown, mother-in-law Elsie Reich, as well as numerous special grandparents.
A Funeral Service will be held for Terry at 2 PM on July 4th, 2023, at the Lake Park Lutheran Church in Birch Hills, SK. The Interment will follow at the Lake Park Lutheran Cemetery. Directions to Lake Park Lutheran Church are to turn left off Highway 3 coming from Prince Albert onto Lake Park Road then 2.5 miles east and the church is on the left-hand side, any questions please contact MacKenzie Funeral Chapel.
