Terrance Albert “Terry” Walker
Walker, Terrance Albert “Terry” – Age 63, Truro, passed away in the QEII–VG in the early morning of Thursday, January 26th, 2023, with loved ones by his side.
Terry grew up in Truro, Nova Scotia where at age sixteen, he started working in the antique business with his father. Terry would later independently grow his career and become a very successful antique dealer within Canada and the USA. Terry had a passion for being on the road and finding hidden treasures in old barns or houses. Terry was a natural barterer, known for being extremely charismatic with a great sense of humour. Terry was also quite the mountain man, and enjoyed fishing, hunting, off-roading and time spent at his camp in the woods.
In his later years, Terry was one of the founding members of Narcotics Anonymous (NA) in Truro. The NA and AA community was extremely important to Terry, and he supported and sponsored many through their recovery process. Anyone who knew Terry, knew that he loved a cup of black Tim’s coffee, a cigarette and good conversation. He was an amazing storyteller and listener, with a kind heart and a giving nature.
He is survived by his daughter, Raeleigh Walker (Anthony Barbrick); father, Joseph Walker; brother, Tim Walker (Kim); sister, Cindy Walker (Larry Smith); brother-like cousin, Kirby Angus as well as numerous other cousins, nieces, and nephews.
He was predeceased by his mother, Nancy Pross.
Terry will be missed deeply by his daughter, his family, the NA and AA community and so many friends, including his closest friend, Dave Jeffreys.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be given in his memory to a charity of choice.
A visitation to share memories and celebrate Terry’s life will be held on Saturday, February 11th from 2-4pm in St Andrews United Church, 55 King St, Truro, NS. Care and cremation entrusted to the Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow St., Truro, NS.
