Susan Mary Trumbell

Susan Mary Trumbell, 75 years of age, of Burlington, Ontario, passed away after a brave and courageous battle with an incurable disease PAH. Susan was born on Feb. 28, 1948, in Toronto, to the late Peter Hunkin and the late Babe (Ethel) Hunkin (nee Vallar). She is survived by her husband of 56 years, David and their loving sons Mark and John (Janice) and granddaughter Phoebe. Dear sister Barbara Cameron (the late Kirk), the late Peter Hunkin (Teresa), John Hunkin (Susan). Fondly remembered by her sister-in- law Sue Cole (Rick), brothers-in -law Peter and Steven.
Sue had a long career with the Halton District School Board Continuing Education, she greatly enjoyed the friendships with her colleague’s and working with the students getting them signed up for their needed curriculum.
In her free time, she enjoyed her garden, crafts/card making and making photo albums for family members as well as her cat Buddy. In her younger days Susan loved her bowling league at the Old Skyway Plaza Lakeside Lanes and especially her teammates that consisted of her late Mother “Babe” and her Aunt Nell. But her no. 1 priority was her family. She cared for her mother and father in their senior years when they needed additional care as well as other extended family members in their time of need.
Susan was supported at the end of her life by the compassionate doctors and nurses at
Joseph Brant Hospital. Donations to Joseph Brant Hospital or the Pulmonary Arterial
Hypertension Association in lieu of flowers. Family will gather to celebrate her life.
