PIGEON, Susan – It is with heavy hearts and much sadness that we announce the passing of our strong, beautiful, loving wife, mother and grandmother. Susan passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 6th at the Chatham-Kent Hospice at the young age of 76. She waited till the morning to let go of life only after her husband came back to the hospice and was by her side holding her hand. Susan was predeceased by her parents Alex and Alice Love and survived by her husband Danny Pigeon Sr, son Danny Pigeon Jr (Deana) and son Michael Pigeon (Gloria). She was a devoted wife to Danny for 58 years and the story has it that she sent him a note in class all the way back in grade 3 where it all began. Susan worked at A-1 Flooring in Welland for many years and also at Fantom Technologies where she formed many friendships. She loved traveling to see family and friends in both western Canada and California. She will be dearly missed by her grandchildren Travis, Jake and William along with other loving family, in-laws, nieces/nephews and friends. For those who know Susan knew her passion and love for life, she was the strongest woman you could ever know. As she wished, cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held at the H.L. Cudney Funeral Home, 241 West Main Street, Welland on Saturday, May 6, 2023 at 1 p.m. with visitation from 11:30 a.m. until time of service.
