It is with heavy hearts and much love that we say goodbye to our beloved mother and Oma (Omi), who passed away on February 4, 2023 with her loving daughter Anita beside her at the age of 84.
Erica will be lovingly remembered by her son Timothy (Beth); daughters Anita (Michael) and Heidi; 10 grandchildren: Kelly, Jenny, Rebecca, Kyle, Carly, Keenan, Emily, Phoenix, Ashton, and Hope; 7 greatgrandchildren: Gagen, TrinityLynn, Zekland, Jaspin, Samantha, Nicole, and Maddison; brother Rudolph; brother-in-law Freddy; sisters-in-law Sally and Deanna (John); numerous nephews, nieces, family, and friends.
Erica was predeceased by her loving husband Werner; parents Emmanual and Wanda; sisters Linda and Inez; son-in-law Steven, and many other nieces and
nephews, extended family and friends.
A visitation will take place on Friday, February 10, 2023 between 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Serenity Funeral Service, 5311 91 Street NW, Edmonton.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 10014 81 Avenue, Edmonton on Saturday, February 11, 2023 at 9:30 a.m.
The interment will take place at New Sarepta Cemetery with a reception to follow in the adjoining Luther Centre at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Erica Sternhagen may be made to the “Alzheimer Society Dementia Research”, #306, 10430 61 Avenue, Edmonton, AB, T6H 2J3.
