Obituary
It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Mary Stella Boucher which occurred at Rocmaura Nursing Home on Friday, June 30th, 2023. Born 1932, in Saint John, she is the daughter of the late Alphonse and Alice (Arseneault) Doucet. Stella was a wonderful homemaker who enjoyed tv bingo, playing cards with family & friends and fishing. She was an avid bowler and was on the same league for 50 years. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Stella is survived by her daughters Linda Spragg (Brian) of Saint John, Joan Boucher (Carl) of Edmonton, AB, Veronica Caissie (Raymond) of Saint John; son Martin Boucher (Jacqueline Hebert) of Fredericton, NB; sisters Lina Lewis of Petit Rocher, NB, Loretta Doucet-Hebert of Moncton, NB; sister-in-law Bertha Doucet of Quispamsis; 10 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. Along with her parents, Stella was predeceased by her husband Bill, brothers Norman and Edgar, sisters Emma and Yvonne and brothers-in-law Aurele, Leonard and Peter.
A special thank you to the nurses and staff of Rocmaura Nursing Home for your friendship, kindness and compassion. It will not be forgotten.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (506-646-2424) with visitation being held on Sunday, July 2nd from 2 to 4 p.m. Visitation will continue on Tuesday, July 4th from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. followed by a Funeral Service at 11 a.m. Interment will take place at St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Donations in memory of Stella may be made to Rocmaura Nursing Home or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
