It is with great sadness that the family of the late Simon Pokue announce his passing in St. John’s NL, on Wednesday, December 28th, 2022, at the age of 61 years.
Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories, his common-law spouse, Anne Nuna; children: Michelle, Rebecca, Selina, Marcel, Rebecca, Sage (uapikun), Mary Jane (Thunder), and Arrow (Tshishenish); many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters: Germaine, Yvonne, Rose Marie, Ann Margaret, Adeline, and Lorraine; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
Simon was predeceased by his parents: Tuminik and Ann Philomina; brothers: Charlie and William; and sisters: Andrea and Ann Marie.
A visitation will be held at Simon’s residence in Sheshatshiu, on Sunday, January 1st, 2023. A funeral service will be held at Tshitshitua Shushep, Catholic Church, in Sheshatshiu, on Monday, January 2nd, 2023, at 11:00 a.m.
