The family of the late Shirley Balsom extends our sincere thanks to all who supported us during her passing.
We thank the nursing staff of the second floor, and Dr. Brendan Lewis. We sincerely thank Lawrence McCarthy, Nurse Practitioner for all you did for Shirley over the past year and more.
We thank those who sent flowers, donations to All Saints Church or Western Memorial Hospital Foundation, food, sympathy cards, online condolences, planted trees, visited the Funeral Home and or attended the funeral.
A special thank you to The Rev. Canon Tanya White for all you did to help us, and for your beautiful homily, The Most Rev. Percy Coffin, The Rev. Canon Francis Elgar, The Rev. Canon Paulette Bugden, organist The Rev. Monica Coffin, the Choir, lay ministers, readers, pallbearers, her swimming friends and all our family and friends who attended the Funeral Service, many of whom travelled long distances to be with us.
A sincere thank you to the Outreach Committee for hosting the reception after the funeral.

Family and friends were always important to Shirley and their support for us was very evident throughout this difficult time.
She will be forever missed and will live in our hearts forever.

July 23, 1942 – February 4, 2023
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Shirley Balsom announce her passing on February 4, 2023, at Western Memorial Regional Hospital at the age of 80 years. She leaves to mourn with many fond and loving memories, her husband Harry; children: Darren (Shelly), David (Stephanie) and Dianne Price (Gregory); grandchildren: Nathan Anderson, Amber Balsom, Nicholas Balsom, Braeden Price, Dylan Price and Hailey Price; brothers: Chester George (Rose), Jim Cramm (Claudette), Graham Cramm (Beverley), Jerry Cramm (Michael) and Derek Cramm (Jeanine); sisters: Betty Christensen (John) and Lynn Cramm; brothers-in-law: Bill Balsom (Donna) and Basil Sears; sister-in-law Eileen Matthews (Bill). As well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Shirley was predeceased by her parents: James and Maisie Cramm; her sisters: Judy Sears and Carolyn Cramm; parents-in-law George and Annie Balsom; and her sister-in-law Shirley Balsom.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 8 from the hours of 7-9 p.m. and on Thursday, February 9 from the hours of 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue. The funeral service will take place on Friday, February 10 at 2:00 p.m. at All Saints Anglican Church with Reverend Canon Tanya White officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery.
As expressions of sympathy, no flowers by request donations may be made to Western Memorial Regional Hospital Foundation or All Saint’s Anglican Church Memorial Fund.
