Shirley Madlen Marie Pennell passed away Aug. 3, 2023 at The Moncton Hospital from complications of pneumonia. Born in Halifax Sept 12, 1929 she was the only child of William GA Harvey and Marie Kathleen Harvey.
She will be sadly missed by her son Harvey (Laura) and Grandsons Jordan (Edmonton, AB) and Taylor (Moncton, N.B,) and numerous cousins in Halifax. Shirley was a 30-year employee of Sears in Halifax and her favorite place on the planet was her beloved Purcell’s Cove.
She will be resting at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Halifax. There will be no service as per family wishes.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to any local Animal Shelter.
