Sheila Margaret Schippling, nee Dohn, passed away peacefully September 3, 2023 at qathet General Hospital, Powell River, B.C.. She was 94 years old. A small grave side rememberance will be held Friday September 8, 2023 at Woodland Park Cemetery on Texada at 11:00 am.
Sheila was born December 13, 1928 in Melfort, SK to Kai and Nellie Dohn. She enjoyed gardening, baking, reading and knitting. She was proud of her chili which won awards.
Sheila is survived by her son Mike (Millie) of Tillsonburg On, grandsons Greg (Sam) of Guelph, On, Eric (Emilie) of Chelsea, QC, and her great granddaughter Sarah. She was predeceased by her husband Wilson (Ship) Schippling.
Donations can be directed to the Texada medical clinic or the SPCA.
The family extends special thanks to all her neighbours whose support allowed her to remain in her own home on Texada. Also special thanks to the Texada Medical Clinic staff and the nurses and Doctors at qathet General Hospital for making her last days comfortable.
